(Monday, 4 June)
Somehow managed to miss Diana and Eric, which was probably a good thing since I was dragging my carcass around like a wounded sea lion. Possibly felt flat because of dehydration, but I think just out-of-it-ness went a long way, too. Did 3 miles around before heading out to Dave's, including 1 mile barefoot at the north field. (Well, I wore socks to avoid the stinging insects.) I did notice that my calves feel stronger than they did when I first started running barefoot last summer. Next up I should start using my Frees a little more.
(Tuesday, 5 June)
4.5 easy, down around the Huntington. Hills feel good, but I still feel very slow. Esp. at the beginning I felt I'd lost my "internal monologue" for running -- hard to get in the zone. Didn't know what to think about. Started to get it back by the end though. PT, weights, core at the gym afterwards. Got introduced to a few new machines.
(Wednesday, 6 June)
7.5 easy, kinda too hot outside (got a late start). Was pissed at the number of lights I kept getting stopped at -- this is why we shouldn't do upper Arroyo. Held my pace though, so I must not be as out of shape as I thought. Great day. Got kitchen stuff into Wilson and went horsing with Ruby (!!!) soooo fun. I smell like horse. Also, polished off 174 via a very boring presentation that wouldn't end.
(Thursday, 7 June)
4.5 easy down the Huntington median with Ian. It's hard to get out these days of moving and turmoil! But we did and I was glad. Grass felt good.
(Friday, 8 June)
~3 or so, beer mile! Was almost too exhausted from moving to go, but I did anyways which was definitely the right call. Didn't mile but chugged a few beers and did pullups.
(Saturday, 9 June)
Off, Worked on getting moved in some more. Lifting not good for the shoulder!
(Sunday, 10 June)
6.5 easy, feeling pretty good. First run from the new place. I feel good today, much more relaxed than the last few days and not quite as exhausted. The run wasn't as long as I'd planned, but I did get back in time to watch the Pre Classic on TV. I hear Leer won the B-heat 1500 -- WAY cool. Mad cool. I'm pleased with how longer/slower runs are feeling, even in spite of being a little dehydrated this past week.
Goal: 30
Week total: 29
Overall feeling: I'm not going to split hairs here. In spite of moving and general stress, this is great. 2 longer runs (6+) felt good and bode well for higher mileage in the coming weeks.

I can't believe I remembered to stop my watch. Should've run faster.
