I can't believe I remembered to stop my watch. Should've run faster.

Miles miles miles!

(Monday, 1 September)

Easy run at the Rosebowl/JPL. Trotted up and back bringing in the folks at the back of the pack, which was a worthwhile exercise in patience. Feeling pretty fresh. busted a move a bit at the end to run back in with Matt's posse.

(Tuesday, 2 September)
Oak Groves; I ran about 4.58, 4.48, 5.50 (with T), 5.12. Then we did one Shenandoah (5.27). Feeling pretty good, not working too hard. Rest is good! Gotta emphasize consistency with the front group.

(Wednesday, 3 September)
Easy Huntington in the morning, and easy couple of miles in the afternoon. Weightroom.

(Thursday, 4 September)
San Marino hills medley. I was feeling pretty good this morning; I didn't go too hard or too easy. I actually had a lot more left in me than I thought I did towards the end; so, I turned up the heat on those poor suckers. We did SM, Oxford, Patten, Shenandoah, El Molino, and Oak Knoll. It was pretty good. In the afternoon we warmed up and did abs.

(Friday, 5 September)
Prerace and 6 strides, feeling good. Lifted.

(Saturday, 6 September)
First race coaching! We were out at UCI, and the meet was slightly less disastrous than last year (meaning: they had bathrooms and no one went the wrong way). The gang did great I thought, some big performances from returning folks and a lot of first-timers having their first races.  It was pretty hot for the men, though. I did a little jogging around but nothing major, just enjoying the day.

(Sunday, 7 September)
Slept in, went to the beach with Will and Ruby; felt great!

Total: about 40 miles, some of them hard!
