I can't believe I remembered to stop my watch. Should've run faster.

Pre-Riverside, and I get the reins!

(Monday, 22 September)

Longer Lorain, pretty chill. Feeling good, except for some mild soreness afflicting my soleus/achilles region (from the downhill pounding Saturday, I think).

(Tuesday, 23 September)
Had the gals run a 2.25 tempo on the track, although I think it would have worked better if there had been more of them there. I did it myself before I took the team's splits; 5 laps at 7.00 then I dropped the pace; being alone, though, I didn't speed up enough.  3.28/6.59/8.26/12.10/13.48/15.14  are the splits I remember for myself. 3.04 last 800 isn't bad! I felt pretty good, especially considering I was by myself.

(Wednesday, 24 September)
Easy zigzag up Craigish to Villa. Hot outside! Feeling a bit poopy.

(Thursday, 25 September)
Lacy park, 5-4-3-2-1 with 1 minute jog in between each interval. It was pretty effective! I started out a bit quick (7.30 pace maybe?) but it didn't backfire too much. The gals seemed to get into it. Also, I found this cute picture from my frosh year that I thought y'all would appreciate:
(Friday, 26 September)
Prerace, chillin. We did Hillcrest, which is my new favorite prerace run.

(Saturday, 27 September)
UC Riverside meet. Great day! I galloped around the course and shouted my head off. Highlights were seeing Chaves run again, seeing the gals run fast, and the panic of watching Chief hopefully not injure himself to the point of amputation.

(Sunday, 28 September)
Off, bike building. Fun fun fun!
