I can't believe I remembered to stop my watch. Should've run faster.

Week 17: the big 5?

It took me a while to write this up because I didn't want to think about it after how terrible my race was at Oxy.

(Monday, 5 May)
Ran easy, went to basketball class. Just trying to take it easy on the legs today.

(Tuesday, 6 May)
Ran easy again. My legs aren't quite feeling up to running hard again. I had a dream about racing last night, but I think it was an 800.

(Wednesday, 7 May)
Track: 500/400/300/200 in spikes, 2 minutes rest between intervals. 1.40/75/55/34. Just right on target. I'm getting really, really nervous about Saturday. The speed felt okay though, it was still relaxed and in control. The first 2 laps are going to be the hardest part I think.

(Thursday, 8 May)
Easy, resting.

(Friday, 9 May)
Same.

(Saturday, 10 May) Oxy invite - 1500m
Oxy invite 1500. terrible. 5.06. 77/89/85/56. What a shitty race. I cried afterwards. There was no one to race with, and everyone super irratic. I never would have run that slow a second lap if I hadn't been behind some really dumb folks. I didn't even know I slowed down so much because there were no splits, and no clock. That's what was awful, is that the whole time I thought that was doing it! I thought I was going to break 5! But I felt good because I basically jogged for two laps. When I heard the time I might as well have run 6.00. Why didn't anyone tell me what was going on?

(Sunday, 11 May)
Ran a bit at Kelrof. Felt like shit inside.
